Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro Headphones Review – Sounds Before Style

When it comes to making quality professional headphones and electronic equipment Beyerdynamic are up there with the best and they are renowned for producing some of the best headphones around. These days there are several good professional headphones on the market to choose from including recent offerings from top manufacturers Technics, and the relatively new to the market, Beats by Dre, but Beyerdynamic are not fazed as they launch the DT770 Pro headphones for professionals who demand a lightweight and stylish headphone that produce decent sounds.

Appearance

The Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones do not look as though they were designed to be attention grabbing. With its straight laced designs and black and grey color coordination, these headphones are extremely business-like. They certainly don’t offer the same playful colors and designs popularized by the Dre Beats headphones.

The DT770 are built with studio work and a lot of handling in mind so the whole look and feel is of a sturdy nature. It has a thick, well-reinforced cable with a 3.5mm jack at the end. There is also a 1/4-inch adapter which means they can be used in the studio or in an MP3 as you travel around.

Performance

These closed back headphones do a good job of keeping the music directed into your ear and not shared with the annoyed ears of people in the nearby vicinity.

The headphones are designed to sit snuggly around the ears and this provides some excellent noise cancellation. This means that in anywhere but the noisiest of environments you will be able to fully enjoy your music. These headphones can also handle high volume levels and the music will remain crisp and clear as you power up through the volume ranges.

What People Are Saying

The Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro may not look very fun on the outside but inside it can certainly provide endless audio pleasure with the right music. It is a headphone for lovers of bass and those that need something for professional studio work. They are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and the snug fit around the ear provides good noise cancellation.

Music for which you want to turn the volume up

Bass lovers rejoice and crank up the volume with these headphones. You will be able to enjoy music in genres such as Hip-Hop, R&B and dance, where heavy bass is the order of the day, but you will also love these if you are fan of jazz or rock music.

Music for which they are best left unplugged

Country music, classical and folk are just a few of the genres that the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro may not handle too well. This is because the bass will override much of what makes these types of music enjoyable.
