Are You Willing to Switch Your Headphones for Headbones?

headbones

Headbones, a new concept of headphone that uses bone conduction technology to transmit sounds through the cheek bones to the inner ear is developed by UK’s Damson Audio. Although the idea is somewhat similar to that of Vibrabone earphones and the Cynaps hat but Damson Audio is confident their new set of stylish Bluetooth-enabled headbones will going to change the headphone market. Backed with Incisor Diffusion Technology (IDT), which has proven its advantage behind the huge success of other popular Damson products like Damson Twist and Damson Jet wireless speakers.

The two folding arms of the Headbones rest on the temporal bone on each side of the user’s head, and are flexible enough to adjust according to users head shapes and size. The headbone is ideal for listening to commentary while watching the game and enjoying the ambience. You can listen to your Chinese or Spanish audio tape while working or studying which enable you to multi task. They are designed to make you more aware of your surroundings while relaxing and chilling out with your favorite music at the same time. It protects your hearing, with Headbones bypasses your ears most sensitive parts.

Are Headbones worthy of the hype?

But are you willing to give up your headphones for a new pair of headbones? There are other concerns that the consumers would like to know before they pay $120 dollars for a pair of headbones.  Sound quality is the number one priority of most consumers. Is the price of $120 justify the headbones worth? How durable are the headbones? No one knows yet. These are just some of the risks that consumers have to take.

I own a pair of bulky noise-cancelling headphones at the moment and sometimes it becomes uncomfortable to wear on top of my ears for a very long time. So what I do sometimes is I place the cans on top of my temporal lobe and just increase the volume a little bit, just enough to make me hear clearly what I’m listening into. I sometimes feel a tingy feeling inside my ears that makes me fear for my hearing on the long run. This makes Damson Audio Headbones appealing to me, as long as it promises to keep my hearing healthy. Then there’s no reason not to try them out.
